DSD - Direct Stream Digital is an embrace of high resolution audio (high resolution audio) formats. It was created to improve the dynamic range of CD audio in the audible frequency range of sound.

Now the two most popular formats are DFF and DSF. They differ among themselves approximately as WAV and FLAC. Both are “lossless” formats, both provide maximum quality, but DFF does not support compression or file tags, while DSF supports both.
