SkyDxddy (born Skylar Lenae DeMarino) is a singer-songwriter, rapper, and visual artist from Virginia operating at the intersection of alternative rock, pop-punk, hip-hop, and her self-coined genre traumacore — music centred on trauma and the journey toward healing. A rising alt/rock force, she fuses bold pop hooks, hip-hop rhythms, and aggressive rock edges to transform pain into power.
The original TRAUMACORE (RAW AND UNCUT) arrived in May 2025 during Mental Health Awareness Month as SkyDxddy's debut full-length statement. Its thirteen tracks unflinchingly explore body dysmorphia, addiction, abuse, and survival. The 2026 Deluxe edition expands that world to twenty tracks, weaving in demo versions — most notably the rawer "HER (Demo)" placed alongside the finished album cut — offering listeners an intimate look at how the material evolved from first sketch to fully realised form.
"Choker" opens the record as a sharp meditation on the tension between inner turmoil and an outward facade of calm; emotive guitar riffs and kinetic percussion pull the listener inward from the first bar. The closing "Best Part Of The Story" resolves the album's emotional arc with hard-won self-acceptance: heavy, raging instrumentation softens briefly in the bridge as SkyDxddy declares herself her own champion, making the twenty-track Deluxe a complete, cathartic journey.
SkyDxddy defines the album's success not by streaming figures but by real-world impact — if even one listener leaves an abusive relationship or comes to terms with surviving assault because of these songs, the record has done its work.
