Aziliz Manrow – Et tout prend vie (2025)

Aziliz Manrow, a native of Brittany and heir to a lineage of artists and activists for Breton culture, draws her inspiration from both her homeland and American country pop. Among her influences are The Corrs, The Cranberries, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Dixie Chicks, and Agnes Obel. In her second album, "Et tout prend vie" (And Everything Comes to Life), Aziliz sings in French, English, and Breton, blending Celtic and folk harmonies with a voice that is both sweet and powerful. Vibrant and captivating, the album celebrates Brittany in tracks like "Etrement" (Being), imbued with Celtic legends, and explores more personal themes with "Jealousy" and "Dragonfly." The arrangements, rich with violins, bodhrán, and Uilleann pipes, reflect her Celtic heritage. The song “Merc’hed Kelt”, an anthem to Celtic women, brings together Aziliz and six iconic Breton singers. Nurtured by traditional music, Aziliz offers a blended repertoire of Pop-Folk and Rock with captivating melodies.
