A Mixture of Retro Swing Jazz Guitar/ Gypsy Jazz/ Gospel and Blues.
This Album plays on a whimsical playful interpretation on life. The characters are all fictional, but based on the alter ego’s of Elio Rota, who performed and produced all the tracks. The main reasoning of this album is that we take life so serious that it makes us sick ,therefore I had fun with saying “to heck with it” I will partly roll with life. Not to say that I will roll over and play dead..Oh No.This album is also my love of the ol’ great guitar players like Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery, Pat Martino, Django Reinhardt and many others. I tried to capture the retro sounds of Guitars, Drums and Bass. I also played the instruments to the style of that time. There are two tracks with vocals, one is about my wife Magali and the other is dedicated to people and pets we lost in our life.”Where Do We Go” has the personality of Edgar Winters early days White Trash.
