The CELTA Course is the only CELTA preparation course endorsed by Cambridge ESOL. It provides full coverage of the CELTA syllabus in a ready-lo-use course. The CELTA Course has been written in collaboration with Cambridge ESOL by authors who have a wealth of experience in teacher training and materials writing.
TheCELTA Course is divided into user-friendly sections:
• 40 input sessions on ‘The learners and their contexts’, ‘Classroom teaching’, Language awareness’ and ‘Professional development’. These are all mapped against the recommended CELTA timetable sessions.
• ‘Teaching practice’: This offers advice on planning, teaching, post-teaching reflection tasks and journal tasks.
• ‘Classroom observation’: a bank of tasks to help trainees get the most from lesson observations.
• ‘Tutorials and assignments’: practical help and advice for tutorials and written assignments.
• A ‘Resource file’ with warmers, fillers, brief guide to the English verb, glossary and further reading/resources.
The Trainee Book includes a range of material to be used in input sessions, helpful advice about the course, and a wealth of useful reference material.
